Kirklinton Opera - 'Rigoletto'

Regents Opera @ Kirklinton Hall & Gardens

The story of the Duke of Mantua's court jester Rigoletto and his beautiful daughter Gilda is a tale full of decadence and innocence. After receiving a curse Rigoletto’s life is changed forever as his degenerate working world collides with the pious world of his daughter.
Regents Opera will perform a Pre-Raphaelite inspired production that is set in the 1850’s and based on Victor Hugo’s “L’Roi S’Amuse (The King Amuses Himself).  Rigoletto is one of Verdi's finest operas and a perfect evening of love lust and intrigue.
